Yesterday was a long day but good.
I got stop by a policeman early Friday morning around 2:00 am at Nashville. I spotted him in the pull off lane on the Hwy., no lights, but could see he was shooting radar. I tap the break to take the cruise off, and waited as he jumped into his car right before I passed him. There was cars around me but I wasn't passing any so...
Sure enough, right behind me and turned on his lights. So I pulled over and started pulling out the normal things. He walks up and ask me if I knew I was speeding. Now- when you go into Nashville from Bowling Green you have a area that is 60 due to the curves, and cross winds. Then you have it go back up to 70 mph. I didn't think I was speeding.
"I was? I had the cruise set at 70." "In a 55 zone." "55? No.. it is 70." and I tell him of the curves, then it goes back to 70. He tells me about a mile back it went down to 55. "Oh. I didn't notice that Sir. I am reading the directions to the airport, not been there before. Guess I was paying more attention to the road signs as it is two exits within 4 miles of each other, trying to see which lane to be in."
He gets this dull look on his eyes, sure he had heard this thousand times, and facing any money I made tonight was going to the great state of TN. So I just owned up... "But you are right, if I was doing 68 in a 55 then you just write me that ticket. I will not say a word about it." And I wouldn't of, always said I deserve a whole lot of tickets as I always speed. He smiled, looked down at me and asked "Not one word?" I smiled back, and had to answer with the truth "Well... maybe a few cuss words as I pull away, making sure you can't hear me."
He laughed, closed his ticket book, and held up my driver licenses. "Let's make a deal. As you don't have any record and seem like a honest person- You promise to slow down for me, and I will let this one go. AND no bad words." That made me laugh. "I will slow down, trust me. And only good things will be said, kind Sir, if you do that."
He handed me my licenses, and with one more cute smile, left me with a "Be safe, and slow down now." "I will- thank you."
I pulled away thinking... Honey- that smile, mmmm hmmm. Hello Officer, how do you do? I love a man in uniform.

Ok- maybe not the kind of words he was thinking I would say but.. he was cute. ;)
So I get to the airport, the air fright and still had two and half hours to wait for it to open. I climb into the back seat to sleep. Hadn't got my eyes closed when the storm hit. Thunder, lightening, wind blowing the rain. If I did get to sleep I kept thinking a plane was crashing around me, on top of me. Strange dreams, or snips of dreams. The part in the movie with Cage, The Knowing, the plane crash? Storm, airplanes taking off and landing, just kept playing in my head.
Then home to the Dr. move going well. Yeah! Right at the estimate on time, so ... yeah!
A hour and half nap, shower, and on to the makeup for the haunted house. Since we started earlier we was able to take a little more time with each look and have to say they looked good. :)
Home by 9:30pm, I did not stay around after the clean up got done, and was in bed asleep by ten. :D
Today is catch up on laundry, try to see if homework is going to be done, shop for Mom and family, and haunted house starts at 5:30 pm again.
Busy busy day.
